HOUSTON – Authorities are investigating after two masked men entered a METRO bus in west Houston and started shooting, injuring a man Friday morning.

Houston police and the METRO Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 1800 block of Enclave Parkway around 10:15 a.m.

Metro PD said the bus was making a stop when two masked men exited a black vehicle and entered the bus from the back and front door.

Police said the suspects spotted a man and started punching him and shooting before exiting the bus. Fortunately, no other passengers on the bus were injured during the shooting.

Investigators said the bus driver, who was distraught by the shooting, immediately moved the bus to a safe area in the 1800 south Dairy Ashford.

Authorities are now waiting to watch surveillance video from the bus to help them possibly identify the suspects.

The victim, who is said to be between the ages of 17 and 19, was transported to the hospital in an unknown condition.
