“The fact that our nation is going ahead today with complete adherence to the ideas of our gurus makes me very pleased. On this auspicious occasion, I prostrate myself at the feet of each of the 10 gurus. Congratulations to you all on the occasion of Prakash Parv, and best wishes for the future “PM Modi made the remarks during the unveiling of the commemorative coin and postal stamp.

The two-day event, which was jointly organized by the Centre and the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC), officially began on Wednesday with the inauguration of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The suggested design for coins and a postal stamp, according to SGPC honorary secretary Harjinder Singh Dhami, has been sent to the Ministry of Finance. “These would be made available on May 1,” he said. It was requested that we provide information regarding the denomination and design of these commemorative products and any written material that may be scribbled on them.

The picture of Gurdwara Guru Ke Mehal, with a phrase devoted to the 400th anniversary of the Guru and the year 1621-2021 at the bottom, has been suggested by the SGPC’s design team to be inscribed on one side of the coin and the denomination on the other side. The stamp and the envelope were designed similarly.

Because it was the birthplace of Guru Tegh Bahadur, the Gurdwara Guru Ke Mehal, located only a few yards away from the Golden Temple, earned prominence.

Throughout the event, the emphasis will be on showcasing the teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh Guru. Because the Mughal monarch Aurangzeb ordered the death of Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh Guru, from the Red Fort in 1675, it was selected as the location for the event.

On this auspicious occasion, Prime Minister Modi expressed his gratitude to all ten gurus, saying, “I kneel at their feet.” In his words, there was a period when religious frenzy swept the land, but then Guru Tegh Bahadur stepped out and taught everyone the way to the actual road.

Several generations of Indians have been motivated by Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s sacrifice to live and die for the dignity of their culture, to maintain its honor and respect, said the Prime Minister.
