LOS ANGELES – Actress Anne Heche was critically injured after crashing her car into a Los Angeles-area home on Friday, multiple reports say.

According to KNBC, the crash was reported shortly before 11 a.m. Authorities in LA said the driver, who was identified as Heche, was speeding down a residential street and zoomed 30-feet into a home. The vehicle Heche was apparently driving in was also engulfed in flames.

Heche suffered numerous burn injuries and was transported to an area hospital in critical condition, CNN reported.

Authorities believe speeding was a factor prior to the crash, KNBC reported. No additional injuries were reported.

According to CNN, Heche broke out as a soap opera actress in “Another World” and played numerous roles in films such as “Donnie Brasco” and “Six Days, Seven Nights” and several TV shows such as “The Brave,” and “Chicago PD.”
