The man identified as a person of interest in Friday’s shooting in Washington, DC, posted messages online during the siege, according to a report.
Raymond Spencer reportedly updated the Wikipedia page for Edmund Burke School, a prep school across the street from the building where the sniper’s nest was located, writing: “A gunman fired into the school on April 22, 2022. The suspect remains at large,” the Washington Post reported.
“Dear God, please forgive me,” a user named Raymond Spencer posted on 4chan’s online message board four minutes after the shots were reported, sources told the newspaper.
The user then posted, “Waiting for the police to catch me.”
A video of the shoot was also posted on the 4chan site.

Three adults and a girl were hit in the gunfire, forcing schools in the area to close and residents to shelter in place. The shooter appeared to be firing at random and fired more than 100 rounds, police said.
The shooter committed suicide. Police have not confirmed it was Spencer.
