RANDOLPH, Mass. — The Norfolk District Attorney’s Office is investigating a double shooting at Mojitos Country Club in Randolph that left one man dead on the Fourth of July.
Investigators say the shooting happened in the parking lot of the club on Mazzeo Drive around 8 p.m.
Two men were shot and rushed to a Boston hospital, where 29-year-old Ivanildo Cabral, of Worcester, was pronounced dead, the DA’s office said. The second victim remains hospitalized with serious injuries.
Police from several surrounding towns responded to the club. Investigators gathered evidence on scene and also spoke with several witnesses.
According to the club’s Instagram page, it advertised a pool party for adults and kids from 2-8 p.m. for the holiday. A Boston 25 News crew on scene last night saw several families leaving with young children.
While there is no word of any suspect in custody, police say there is no threat to people who live in the area. If you have any information, Randolph Police are asking you to call 781-963-1212.
