WEDNESDAY RAIN
The nor’easter we’ve been monitoring will take a closer track through Wednesday. That means some decent rain will fall, especially in eastern New England where more than a half-inch will fall. From Worcester to the south and west it will be lighter.
N/NE winds will gust 25-35 mph Wednesday, up to 45 mph on Cape Cod and Nantucket where a WIND ADVISORY is in place. Wind damage is possible, especially with the stress the drought has put on trees, and it will add a raw, cool feel on an already soggy day. I can’t imagine many of you want to hike to the beach in the rain, but you should know that high surf and dangerous rip currents are expected. There is a HIGH SURF ADVISORY.
WARMING LATE WEEK
Temperatures will rise again late week with mid to upper 80s Friday and this weekend. Although it will get a little sticky, humidity doesn’t look too bad. Partly to mostly sunny conditions will rule.
