Standard Sports Prediction
Although they have at times looked incredibly vulnerable in defence, Chelsea have consistently shown solid goalscoring form in recent weeks and that could continue against a depleted West Ham backline.
The Hammers have been superb in Europe, but their Premier League results and performances have been inconsistent, and they could come up short against a Chelsea side desperate for a positive response.
Chelsea win, 3-1.
West Ham team news
Moyes has a defensive crisis on his hands, with Craig Dawson the only fit centre-back after Issa Diop joined Angelo Ogbonna and Kurt Zouma on the sidelines.
That means Declan Rice could well come back on defense, either in a back four alongside Dawson, or even a back three that would likely see Aaron Cresswell moving inside.
We can expect a solid attacking formation from the Hammers, even with a Europa League semi-final clash coming up on Thursday.
Chelsea team news
Chelsea will be without Antonio Rudiger (groin) and Mateo Kovacic (ankle) for Sunday’s clash, after Tuchel confirmed the pair are still unavailable.
“No, for Sunday’s game they are not back,” Tuchel said on Friday. “No other injuries either.”
After such a poor performance by the Blues against Arsenal, Thiago Silva and Kai Havertz are expected to return to the starting line-up.
