BOSTON — We’re on a SEVERE WEATHER ALERT from the Boston 25 Weather Team due to a flash flood warning in parts of Massachusetts.
The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for parts of southeastern Massachusetts until 6:45 p.m.
According to the weather service, trained weather spotters reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across that area. Between 4 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include… Providence, Warwick, Cranston, Pawtucket, Taunton, East Providence, Cumberland, North Providence, West Warwick, Johnston, North Attleborough, Bridgewater, Attleboro, Mansfield, Middleborough, Easton, Smithfield, Lincoln, Central Falls and Norton.
