Deontay Wilder told Tyson Fury: ‘I don’t respect you’ right after his knockout loss last year.
The ‘Gypsy King’ and ‘Bronze Bomber’ produced a legendary battle for the ages as they were both taken down twice before Fury won by 11th round knockout.
Before the fight, there was a lot of bitterness between them as Wilder thought Fury cheated the last time they met.
Despite this, the ‘Gypsy King’ approached him to show respect after the knockout.
He then told BT Sport: “I said ‘Well done mate’ and he said ‘I don’t want to show any sportsmanship or respect’. I said ‘No problem.’
“Very surprised. Bad loser. You idiot.”
Video footage has now emerged of the exact moment it happened.
Fury can be seen approaching Wilder as he sits on his stool.
As the Brit tries to show respect, the American can be heard saying ‘No love’ and ‘I don’t respect you’.
Wilder’s trainer Malik Scott explained his man’s reaction.
He told ESNews in response: “Deontay, obviously he views Fury as a man he had serious issues with regarding some allegations and some things he had seen with his own eyes.
“Tonight, after releasing all that energy, he still felt what he felt.”
In response to posting the video, Fury tweeted, “Respect and sportsmanship. Time will tell us.”
