“I want some of that Floyd Mayweather money”

Tyson Fury says he has no interest in fighting Anthony Joshua’s winner against Oleksandr Usyk – and instead is ready to follow Floyd Mayweather’s lead.

The Briton retained his WBC heavyweight title with a brutal knockout of Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night and then announced he was retiring from boxing.

Fury knocked out Whyte in stunning fashion

Fury says he is not tempted to fight and face an undisputed clash with the winner of the rematch between Usyk, who holds the WBO, WBA and IBF belts, and Joshua – due to take place this summer.

The 33-year-old instead wants to take the route of exhibition fighting, which Mayweather has done so lucratively, and is eyeing UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou as a potential opponent.

“I’m the heavyweight boxing champion, he’s the UFC heavyweight champion. He’s in great shape, look at his muscles,” Fury said after the fight as Ngannou was brought in to meet him on the ring.

Ngannou chimed in, saying, “We’re going to find out who the baddest ***** mother on the planet is.”

The interview then took a slightly odd turn, as Fury questioned Ngannou about the size of his manhood.

“It’s a nice chappy, isn’t it, you have a big cory?”

Ngannou did not respond and instead stood there with a confused look on his face, before the interviewer put things back on track, asking if a bout between the combat sports giants would take place in the Octagon or in the ring.

“It’s going to be a very special fight like never before in the history of our sport…it’s going to be an explosive fight when it happens,” Fury said.

Ngannou, from Cameroon, then clarified that there will be different rules in what is a hybrid fight. “MMA gloves in the ring, a bit like a confusion, a bit different.”

Ngannou is currently recovering from injury and he is under contract with the UFC until the end of the year, but if he chooses not to re-sign he could be available for a crossover fight in 2023.

“Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou in Africa will be the best. The Rumble in the Jungle 2!

Ngannou was referring to the 1974 epic between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman in what was then known as Zaire.

Ali won by knockout in the eighth round.

And Fury arrived at his post-fight press conference shirtless but in shorts emblazoned with “Rumble in the Jungle” on them where he once again reiterated that his professional career was over.

In doing so, he becomes only the second heavyweight champion to leave the sport undefeated.

“But I won’t rule out shows and get some of that money from Floyd Mayweather.

“I want to have fun. You saw tonight, I’m an artist – that’s what I do best.

On Ngannou, he said he didn’t care if it was in a cage or a ring, adding: “He’s a monster guy, I’m a monster guy so it’s going to be a clash of titans for sure. safe.”
