After the first quarter, Boston led 30-25. In the second quarter, the Nets beat the Celtics 25-23, which cut the halftime deficit to three points, 53-50.

Brooklyn cut the Celtics’ lead to four at 88-84 with just under eight minutes left after trailing by nine early in the quarter.

Boston responded with an 8-0 run to regain a double-digit lead. Brooklyn desperately tried to get back into the game late in the quarter, but Boston held on for the six-point victory.
