DRY AND WARM
Meteorologically, the season changes to fall Thursday. We keep records for the season from September 1 to November 30. That does not mean there isn’t some great summer weather still to come. The next several days will feature sunshine and lower humidity. Seasonable highs Thursday and Friday may feel a tad cool compared to the recent heat. Saturday will be warmer with low and mid 80s. It’s the pick of the weekend.
LONG WEEKEND SHOWERS
Your outdoor plans look fine through early Sunday afternoon. The weekend will gradually turn hotter and stickier. We will get close to 90 degrees on Sunday. A front will drop in from the northwest with developing showers and thunderstorms. You will get them earlier if you are heading north for the weekend. Some showers will linger into Labor Day itself, though it doesn’t look like a washout. I’d still expect plenty of clouds Monday.
