NeNe Leakes sues RHOA team for allegedly racist work environment


According to NeNe Leaksthings in Atlanta are not as lively as they seem.

The former star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta continues Bravo, RHOA executive producer Andy Cohen and the production companies behind the hit reality TV franchise for allegedly allowing a racist and hostile work environment on set, according to court documents obtained by E! News.

The lawsuit – which also names NBCUniversal, True Entertainment and Truly Original as defendants – was filed in federal court in Atlanta and states: “For years, NBC, Bravo and True have fostered a corporate and work culture that permitted and tolerated, if not encouraged — racially offensive and insensitive conduct, statements and actions on the part of their employees.”

Legal documents in the case also cite alleged examples of the Leakes alum’s ‘racically insensitive’ behavior. RHOA co-star Kim Zolciak-Biermanneven though it is not listed as a defendant.

The documents state, “From the outset, Zolciak-Biermann was cleared and permitted to engage in racist conduct and/or make racist statements without any meaningful consequences or corrective action from NBC, Bravo or True.”
