New Hampshire couple shot to death in Concord woods; investigation underway – Boston 25 News

CONCORD, N.H. — A New Hampshire couple was found shot to death in the woods just outside of Concord, New Hampshire late Thursday night, after reports of their disappearance.

The bodies of 67-year-old Stephen Reid and his wife, 66-year-old Djeswende Reid, were found with multiple gunshot wounds in the area of the Broken Ground Trails, just off of Portsmouth Street.

N.H. Attorney General, John Formella says this is now being considered a homicide investigation.

Police had been looking into the disappearance of the Reid’s, who were last seen at a family member’s home on Easter Sunday, according to Concord Police. They had not been heard from since Monday.

A preliminary investigation shows the Reid’s left their home in the Alton Woods apartment complex just before 2:30 p.m. on that day, April 18, and went for a walk nearby. Their walk led them to the Broken Grounds Trails.

The Reid’s were reported missing by a family member on Wednesday when Stephen did not arrive for a planned event, police said in a statement. Both of their vehicles were parked in their usual places.

According to police, there is no known history of domestic violence for either person and neither are believed to own firearms.

Anyone with information related to this case is asked to contact the Concord Police Department.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
