Jonny Clayton edged past Michael van Gerwen to win the Premier League night 11 in Aberdeen

Reigning Premier League champion Jonny Clayton claimed his third weekly title as he beat Gary Anderson, Peter Wright and Michael van Gerwen to score a marker in Aberdeen.

‘The Ferret’ made the night miserable for the Scots beating Anderson and Wright en route to the final where he survived a darts match before making it a hat-trick of nighttime wins with a blowout win over Van Gerwen.

Clayton fought back from 4-2 down to beat the Dutchman 6-5 with an average of 103 to edge the Dutchman atop the Premier League table.

He then faced Wright for a place in the final after ‘Snakebite’ delighted the Scottish crowd with a tense 6-5 win over Joe Cullen.

But Clayton ended Wright’s hopes of victory in Scotland with a stunning 6-5 win to reach their fourth Premier League final.

Van Gerwen came from 3-2 down to beat Gerwyn Price 6-3 by an average of 106, undermining the Welshman’s hopes of reaching the play-offs, before beating James Wade by the same scoreline in a scrappy contest, to kick off a showdown final. with Clayton.
