Manchester United caretaker manager Ralf Rangnick has suggested that Paul Pogba played his last game for Manchester United.
The French midfielder limped out of the embarrassing 4-0 loss to Liverpool at Anfield after ten minutes on Tuesday.
Question marks remain over the 29-year-old’s future with the Red Devils given that his contract expires in the summer and there are no signs of a new deal.
Rangnick confirmed that Pogba’s calf injury will likely rule him out for the rest of the season, hinting the midfielder has played his last game for United.
The German said: “With Paul, as it seems after the scan we did the day before yesterday, it is very unlikely that he will play again until the end of the season.”
When asked if Pogba played his last game for the club, Rangnick added: “The doctor told me he will need at least four weeks to recover and the last game is at the end of May.
“I don’t think it’s very likely that he will be able to play again.”
Fans recently turned on Pogba in the 3-2 win over Norwich, booing him off the pitch, and the £90million man responded by covering his ears full-time.

Pogba has failed to fully endear himself to supporters since returning to Old Trafford in 2016 – and many expect him to leave on a free transfer when his contract ends.
With Ajax manager Erik ten Hag recently announced as the next manager at Old Trafford, the Dutchman could yet convince Pogba to accept new terms.
However, given that Rangnick is set to join United’s board, his comments would suggest otherwise.
