‘Survivor’ contestant Ralph Kiser suffered a fatal heart attack on Wednesday morning, according to The Sun.
He was 56 years old.
Kiser, a farmer, appeared in Season 22 of “Survivor: Redemption Island” in 2011, where he was a member of the Zapatera tribe. He finished eighth in the reality competition.
“The Survivor family sends its deepest condolences to the family of Ralph Kiser,” host Jeff Probst said through the show’s twitter account. “His big smile, positive attitude and of course his infectious singing made him one of the friendliest people to ever play Survivor.”

Kiser wanted to join the cast of “Survivor”. The Virginia native has regularly applied to be on the show and “to be a hometown hero for the folks back home,” according to his candidate profile.
Kiser, who describes himself as “determined, willful and stubborn”, has become a fan favorite for “Survivor” viewers.
“I’m a nice person if you get to know me,” Kiser said in a 2011 introductory interview. “I’ll make you laugh.”
