We’ve only been in the 80s four times in 2022. Well, we’re seeing that Friday through Monday next week. It will be a banner weekend through the Tennessee Valley this weekend. Here is the temperature trend for Friday afternoon.
No problem at all this weekend. We will be in the low to mid 80s on Saturday and Sunday. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to exercise thermal safety if you’re mowing the grass or doing strenuous activities.
It had been a long time since we had been this hot over a long period of time. We have to go back in October for such a hot period. At the time, we had nine straight days with highs in the 80s.
It’s that time of year when temperatures can quickly spiral out of control. We usually hit the 90 degree mark before Memorial Day (late May). It won’t be long before it gets very hot and humid in the Tennessee Valley.
