TOMBALL, Texas – Three people are sought after they managed to cash checks for $11,000 at 11 different area banks and purchase more than $3,500 worth of gift cards using the contents of a stolen purse, authorities said.

Constable Mark Herman’s Office said it happened on July 19, a day after a woman’s vehicle was burglarized, her purse stolen in the 24000 block of Rain Creek Drive while she visited Burroughs Park.

The woman’s purse contained her wallet with her Texas driver’s license, debit and credit cards, her checkbook and house keys.

Her checkbook was later used at 11 different Woodforest National Bank drive-thru locations all over Harris and Montgomery County. The suspect collected over $11,000.00 with the forged checks. The suspect is described as a white female in her mid-fifties, blond hair, approximately 150 to 160 pounds, driving a Nissan Rouge. Her passenger was a man with a beard.

The woman’s company credit card was also used at a local Kroger’s store in Tomball. The suspect was captured on video using the stolen card to purchase multiple gift cards totaling to $3,559.67.

The suspect is described as a man, approximately 20 to 40 years old, wearing a mask, black hat with a Ferrari logo on the front, a dark blue long sleeve shirt, gray/tan pants.
